The feature to show Slices in Google Search app has been paused

We investigated and want to implement Slices in our apps, which Google said that it can “display rich, dynamic, and interactive content from your app from within the Google Search app and later in other places like the Google Assistant.” and Google said “you can try it for now” in Google I/O 2018.

However, during developing, we found the sample codes that displayed in Google I/O weren’t compiled because some APIs never exist. After trying so hard to implement, the indexed contents never display on Google Search app.

Our teammate, Wan-Ching, she asked a question to Google about why it doesn’t appear on Google Search app, and the answer is the feature to show Slices in Google Search app has been paused for now.

So .. I guess we can remove this task from our backlog.
